Various studies, including one in 2017 and another one in 2019 found links between diet soda and increased risk of various diseases like Alzheimer’s, dementia, ischemic stroke and circulatory diseases. Diet soda is not great for your teeth either. It contains acidic items such as citric acid, phosphoric acid and tartaric acid. These acids can damage the enamel of your teeth.
Consuming diet soda every once in a while is fine. Consuming it regularly should be avoided for better health.
