4. “How is the job hunt coming?”
Yeah, you might think you are showing concern while asking this question but do yourself a favor and DON’T ask this. The person you are asking this to may not be comfortable with the fact that they are unemployed at the moment. It’s kind of like hitting your ego below the belt. Also, the other person may take this as a jab as a way of you showing off the fact that you have a job. Just sit tight and ask other random questions like the score of last night’s game and the weather. If the person has found a job, he will say it on his own.
