3. Ginger can help treat chronic indigestion
Recurring pain and discomfort in the upper part of the stomach are known as chronic indigestion (dyspepsia). If food isn’t digested properly or timely, it can cause indigestion. Meaning, the stomach needs to be emptied or else indigestion can happen. Ginger has been shown to be very helpful in this condition as it speeds up the emptying of the stomach. A study done on 24 people showed that taking 1.2 grams of ginger powder before a meal speed up the emptying of the stomach by 50%.
