11. Breast of a Thanksgiving (not necessarily) Turkey
If you’re looking for tryptophan then look no further. The turkey breast has got you covered. This wonder-amino acid found in protein-rich foods, aids in producing serotonin – a compound which is basically in charge of our hunger, feelings of happiness and well-being. Tryptophan can single-handedly calm a person down. In a research, performed in 2006 in Canada, men and women found to be argumentative (based on personality tests) were given either tryptophan or a placebo for 15 days. Those on tryptophan did a much better job of getting along with their study partners at the end of the two week span compared to those given the placebo.
